The group hailing from Minnesota is best known for their hit single “Gypsy Queen Pt. 1 & 2” and being the house band for Whiskey a Go Go. Their last album as Gypsy (later became the James Walsh Gypsy Band) “Unlock the Gates” contains a killer drum break. “Don’t Get Mad (Get Even)” starts off with a quick roll and quickly turns into a dope drum loop with crispy hi-hats and a reverbed snare.
