Little Beaver is an awesome name for a soul artist. I guess “beaver” didn’t have the same meaning as it does now. Anyways, Little Beaver isn’t very well known but he was a session musician for TK records and played for a lot of big (sampled) artists such as Latimore, Betty Wright, and Timmy Thomas. As a favor for playing on so many songs, the owner of TK let him record a few solo albums on Cat Records, a subsidiary of TK.
The cut “I Like The Way You Do Your Thing” starts with a killer drum break and then transforms to a pretty sweet soul record. Check it out.
