The Glass Bottle – Sweet B-Boy Break

The Glass Bottle was a Rock/Soul group on Avco Records. The story behind this group is actually pretty hillarious. The band’s co-producer Dickie Goodman worked for a PR firm hired by glass manufacturers. At the time, soda companies were experimenting with plastic bottles instead of glass. In an effort to try to save the glass bottling industry, they formed a group and named it The Glass Bottle. The cut “Sweet September” has a dope drum break in the intro, as well as a b-boy style break in the first few bars.
