The Butts Band – awesome name for a group. Despite this album having a very soulful/funky/reggae sound, the original members of the band were actually rejects and remaining members from rock legends The Doors. The members met while auditioning to replace Jim Morrison after his death.
The album sounds nothing like The Doors. If you see it, pick it up, as it contains 3 drum breaks and a cover of Bob Marley‘s “Get Up Stand Up“. One of the breaks was featured on the compilation series “Drum Crazy”. I posted up the best of the 3 (IMO) – “Caught in the Middle“. Check it out.
